Ball Mill`s, Sag Mill, Flotation Cells and Pebble Crusher •Overseeing and executing all Construction activities on site •26 Km Main Access double and single carriage road construction, sub base and asphalt surfacing •35 km Railway project all earthworks, ballast placing and rail track works and station construction •Chair weekly Contractors progress meetings. •Managing multi – discipline projects from Earthworks, Underground Facilities,Civil construction, Structural Works, Piping installation, electrical works and mechanical installation,HVAC Systems. •RESPONSIBLITIES:- 1. To administer project procedures, programme discipline work loads, lead a team of professionals from all disciplines to complete the project by complying with scope of work and Specifications and provide technical advice and support in developing and coordinating the required studies. 2. To represent the company in meetings with the client and present them with the documents related to meetings. 3. To attend and coordinate weekly and monthly Site meetings. 4. To Control the flow of work controlling documents. 5. To ensure that project activities comply with company, Owner and Scope of Work requirements and support overall engineering & construction schedule. 6. To coordinate and interface with various agencies including Third Party agencies, vendors etc, during different phases of the project ,i.e. from commencement the project through to handover and close out. 7. To Evaluate data as to scope, effects on exiting installations, economic value, range planning and budgetary considerations. 8. To resolve and involve in all technical related specifics, provide Solutions to technical issues, provide technical support, to resolve and provide solutions related to interface with various departments related to QA/QC, Safety, Estimation etc. 9. To Ensure project team have a clear understanding of contract and applicable obligations. 10. To Monitor and evaluate the work of Engineers and drafting staff allocated to specific projects to ensure that their technical competence and performance meet requirements. 11. To set targets and goals to achieve the scheduled objective. 12. To identify, plan and set priorities so that the scheduled target can be achieved well in advance. 13. To coordinate and interface with various departments to identify the lag in schedule and advise corrective measures. 14. To Supervise the preparation of feasibility studies, surveys and reports, design drawings, specifications, bills of materials and cost estimates. 15. To coordinate between various engineering depar tments to maintain prioritization within project schedule and to achieve project milestones with respect to project schedule. 16. To Contribute directly to the resolution of technically difficult design problems and consult with engineering management to resolve policy and labour issues. 17. The demolished materials are disposed off to an area approved by the Owner. The dismantled materials are transported to the site as per advice of the Owner. (b) Earthworks-1. General survey work such as fixing temporary bench marks, marking battery limits, marking the contours and calculation of quantity in cut and fills. 2. Scanning the area by use of scanner and by referring to the utility drawings. 3. Scarification, Excavation, Filling activities as per project procedure and specifications to the required design level. (c) Concrete-1.Construction of Reinforced mat foundations supporting various pedestals embedded with anchor bolts, Walls, Paving, Trenches, Valve boxes, Pipe rack foundations, Radiation fence foundations, Boiler foundations, Sleeper foundations Analyzer house, Tanks (foundations and ring beams), Chemical Dosing Shed, Fire Truck House etc. 2. Construction of Substations (4 nos) and Administrative Building including architectural works. (c )Road Works-1.Preparation of sub grade, sub base in compliance with project procedures and specifications. 2. Application of Prime coat over sub base, installation of Base course, application of tack coat and installation of Wearing course. 3. All quality related tests such as CBR, material testing, determination of Job standard mix density, density check of each mix and core tests. (d)Pipeline works- 1.Preparation of bedding as per project specification and standards. 2.Installation of steel and FRP pipe lines of diameter 8,10,12,24,36,48,72,116 and 136 inches for seawater cooling, instrument air, firewater lines, plant air etc complying project specification and standards. 3.Laying of concrete pipes of diameter 16, 20 and 24inches for storm water. 4.Laying of HDPE pipes of diameter 16,24,36 and 48 inches. (e)Structural Works-1. Erection of process plant in sulphur recovery unit including steel, equipment erection, installation of piping and site finishing. 2. Erection of flare piperacks, ground flare including wall and elevated flares with derrick pumps, knockout drums and runoff pond equipment in flare area. 3. Erection of thermal oxidizer,flare for storage tanks and other equipment for storage area 4. Installation of special equipment such as elevated flares, multi point ground flares, rotating equipments, styrene monomer chiller unit etc. (f) Quality-1. Compliance with corporate Quality Management Systems. 2. Ensuring compliance with Owner quality objectives. 3. Co-ordination of project audits and initiate post audit actions. 4. Preparation of Procedures, Inspection Test Plan, Final test packages as per system numbers. 5. Control of Document flow, maintaining Inspection Measuring Test equipment records. 6. Implement and control of all quality related requirements at site. 7. Reviewing the various laboratory examination results related to concrete, soil and asphalt works. 8. Ensure that materials issued to construction site are correctly identified, complies with specification and material traceability is being maintained. 9. Ensures that material quality test been conducted as per ACI, ASTM, AASHTO and BS. 10. Check the conformity with the quality control plan and obtain the relevant documentation. 11. Raise Site Deficiency Report, Non-Conformance Report and also hold and reject Non- Conforming materials. 12. Check, supervise and controls civil works, which covers the pipe racks, construction of sulphur recovery unit, sub-stations, instrument and equipment stations, tanks, vessel, compressor and pump foundations, pipelines etc. • INFRASTRUCTURE RESPONSIBILITIES :- (a)Survey Work-1.Fixing Temporary Bench Marks with coordinates and elevations. 2.Marking layout for excavation and checking invert levels of manhole and slopes of pipes. 3.Marking layout for sinking of Shafts. (b) Earthworks- 1.Checking underground utility drawings, scanning the area for detection of utilities, marking the area for excavation.2.Demolition and disposal of excavated pipes at the designated area.3.Checking the formation level, providing sand bedding for pipes laying of pipes as per the design level and backfilling of pipes in layers as per project specification. (c) Microtunneling works-1.Precast works for shafts of 600mm 900mm, 1300mm,1600mm and 2000mm diameter. 2.Sinking of shafts to the required level, planning and making arrangements for the microtunneling drive.3. To oversee the maintenance works of the tunneling machine and its accessories.4.To order the required number of pipes for the drive, plan and make arrangements for the next drive.5. Conducting Air tests for water tightness in joints for pipes and to get approval from the Owner. (d) Open Trench Pipe-1.To ensure proper barricading of the site.2. To prepare sand bedding for the pipes.3.Pipe laying to the required gradient and level.4. Conducting Air tests for water tightness in joints for pipes and to get approval from the Owner.5.Backfilling of Pipes as per specification and procedure. (e) Reinstatement Works-1.Reinstatement of Asphalt at road crossings.2.Reinstatement of steel furniture’s and public property after the work is finished (f) Quality Control Tests-1.To ensure the proper stacked soil with known Procter Value is used for the backfilling.2.To ensure the thickness of backfilling confirms to specification.3.To conduct quality control tests at each layer as per project specification. 4.To conduct air test between one manhole to another manhole.5.To check the temperature, Viscosity,material data sheet and CBR for the asphalt.6.To ensure the concrete grade,Various concrete tests confirms project specification.

(b) Cast in Situ Piles- 1.Construction of Cast in Situ Piles of diameter 450m (400nos) as per construction drawing issued. (c) Earthworks-1.Excavation and backfilling of structures, pipelines and Cable Trenches as per the construction drawings confirming to specifications and scope of work. (d) Concrete-1.Construction of foundations supporting various pedestals embedded with anchor bolts, Walls, Paving, Trenches, Valve boxes, Overhead Tanks, Cable Trench and Duct Bank Manholes, Foundation and wall of Retaining wall. 2.Construction of pavings and storm water manholes. 3. Construction of Substation and Office Building including architectural works. (e) Asphalt Roads- Construction of Asphalt roads as per project specification.
