Engineer/researcher
Have conducted a research on micro-channels under the supervision of Dr. Luis Rojas at NU. My duties included sample measurements and experimentation, concept proof and design of new solutions. The result of this research internship was a scientific paper, which was successfully submitted to Chemical Engineering Transactions journal. The other research was a year-long project on ionic liquids with Dr. Dhawal Shah which resulted in publications and conference presentations:
For the last years, I have been highly interested in molecular dynamics and worked on molecular dynamics simulations of ionic liquids. I have experience in multi-phase fluids through research, courses and fieldtrips.

Intern
During the summer internship program, I was accepted to the Zhaikmunai LLP Company in the West Kazakhstan, Uralsk city. Zhaikmunai LLP is a subsidiary of the Nostrum Oil & Gas group of companies. The main target area of Zhaikmunai Company is the exploration and production of hydrocarbons located in the pre Caspian oil rich basins. The fields owned by the company are the following: Rostoshinskoye, Darjinskoye, YuzhnoGremyachinskoye and Chinarevskoe. The later one, was the place where internship was done. It was noticed that the company had several facilities on the Chinarevskoe filed such as Oil processing facility, Gas treatment facility, condensate pipeline, oil storage depots, laboratory facilities, railway terminal as well as the accommodation buildings and office buildings. In the past internship, I have been in the laboratory of the gas treatment department of the company as a laboratory intern/assistant, where the petroleum properties are examined using various kinds of equipment. As a laboratory intern, I have learned the way of analyzing of hydrocarbon products such as condensate and dry gas as well as the liquid petroleum gas (LPG) for rheological properties, for presence of impurities and components present in the petroleum product.

Lab intern
“Kaz M-I” is a company involved in monitoring of drilling fluids and providing laboratory expertise . The internship started from 18 December, 2014 to 6 January, 2015 and included various assignments such as lab visit during sample testing, self-study, office work and assisting duties with my presence.. Moreover, one of the goals of the internship program was to evaluate and develop student’s abilities in theoretical knowledge through a practical approach.

By this time I have reasonable experience in various fields related to oil and gas, research and organization management as well as perfect knowledge of Russian, English and Kazakh. I have been an intern in such oil companies as: NCOC N.V, Nostrum Oil and Gas and Kaz M-I Swaco. Besides of my experience in petroleum companies, I have advanced my soft skills (including diligence, organizational skills, public speech, effective communication, team work and team management) during a year-long work at NU Society of Petroleum Engineers Student Chapter. Commitment to precision and fast learning had developed from 1.5 years in research with foreign specialists and Ph.Ds in Chem./Mechanical engineering. Moreover, I have several certificates for language (TOEFL iBT 106/120), oil and gas (IFP, Total) and corporate culture and finance (KPMG). Participation in International oil and gas competitions (PetroBowl Amsterdam, the Netherlands and Petrobowl qualifier, Stavanger Norway) is yet another strong side for future career in the industry.
