The Embassy of the United States of America was established in Moscow in 1934.

The Mission consists of the Embassy in Moscow and two constituent posts in Yekaterinburg and Vladivostok. The U.S. Embassy in Moscow is one of the largest U.S. Diplomatic Missions in the world. The Embassy is a non-commercial governmental organization. The Mission offers employment in the areas of: political, economic, scientific/technology, cultural, administrative, management, agricultural, commercial, consular, and media.
