Obyte is a cryptocurrency platform built for open and equal access.  It is based on DAG (directed acyclic graph) rather than blockchain, which means that there are no miners, no blocks, no gatekeepers, no intermediaries, and everyone has direct, equal, and free access to the ledger.

The platform is designed for mass adoption and it enables regular users to read and compose smart contracts without being a developer.

Obyte includes a rich developer ecosystem with many easy-to-use tools for sending and receiving payments, communication with clients via chatbots, creating smart contracts, access to sovereign identity, etc.

Obyte livenet is operational since December 2016.
